Chris McCool, District Attorney of the 24th Judicial Circuit (Fayette, Lamar, and Pickens Counties), announced he will run as a Republican for Judge of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in 2018.
McCool currently serves as the District Attorney for the 24th Judicial Circuit, consisting of Fayette, Lamar, and Pickens Counties in West Alabama. He began his legal career in the private practice of law in his hometown of Gordo, Alabama, in 1993, and became the first ever full-time assistant district attorney in Pickens County.
